‘Patterns of Change’ Naples Botanical Garden Batik Guild Exhibition (Naples, Florida)

May 4 - June 30

The Batik Guild has been offered an International Batik Exhibition at the Naples Botanical Garden, May 4th – June 30th 2024. The exhibition will be organised by Naples Botanical Garden in partnership with the Batik Guild. It will be a juried exhibition. Batik Guild members only, are allowed to exhibit.

The title of the exhibition is ‘Patterns of Change’.
Our planet is experiencing a rapid and intense change in climate which impacts all life on Earth. Artists are asked to submit work that represents environmental changes experienced or observed in their personal life and landscapes; whether abstract, impressionistic, or realistic, art can be used as a tool for inspiring change and rouse hope in our communities.

General Information

The exhibition dates are May 4th – June 20th, 2024.
The Entry deadline is Wednesday, January 10, 2024
Jury Results in: Thursday, January 18, 2024
Hand-delivered Artwork Drop-Off: Thursday, March 28th, between 10am and 12 noon.
Artwork shipped delivery at NBG by March 29th, 2024.
Reception (The Submitter plus one guest): Friday, May 3rd
Hand delivered Artwork Pick Up: Monday July 1, 2024, between 10am and 12 noon

It is an honour to be invited to exhibit at the Naples Botanical Garden in Florida, USA. It is hoped that as many Batik Guild members will participate in the International Batik Guild exhibition.

Eligibility

Artists submitting artwork to the Exhibition must hold a current membership with the Batik Guild.
All work must be original and free of copyright infringements.
Giclees will not be accepted.

Submission Procedure

No more than two artworks may be supplied per submitter.
Artwork must not be smaller than 60cms (24”) in any direction and may not exceed 229cms (90”).
The completed Juried Exhibition Application form and image must be emailed by the deadline to Rosi Robinson, the Batik Guild representative. (rosi@rosirobinson.com)

Selection Process

Artwork will be selected by qualified and knowledgeable staff at The Garden.

Rosi Robinson is the Batik Guild Representative for the Batik Guild. Please get in touch with Rosi for more information. Muffy Clark Gill is the Batik Guild contact in Florida, USA. The Batik Guild has signed a contract with the Naples Botanical Garden.
If you plan to submit your work, please email Rosi and she will send you the Juried Exhibition Application forms and the details of different ways of transporting the work to Florida.

Each artist will be responsible for insuring their Artwork in transit. The Garden will insure the work as soon as it is delivered to the garden until the end of the Exhibition.
