Introducing: SlowMaking- Rethink tradition. Rethink luxury.

Explore Batik Art

SlowMaking is a tale of passion and dedication, rooted in the preservation of traditional craftsmanship and the fostering of cultural connections. Beginning with self-funded journeys across China, the founder immersed herself in remote villages, learning from traditional craftsmen and documenting their stories. They self-produced a series of exclusive interviews for the traditional craftsmen and published them on youtube and other social media channels. The founder proudly learned batik from the Miao minority group in China, enriching their repertoire. Despite challenges and financial strains, they persist, working tirelessly to bridge the gap between artisans and consumers. SlowMaking, proudly women-funded, offers comprehensive batik workshops and embroidery workshops, and initiatives to support communities and promote mindful creation, embodying a commitment to sustainability and the enduring allure of craftsmanship.
