Thanks to Ricky Tims interview with Jonathan and Beth Evans on his quilting podcast, www.sewandsopodcast.com the IYOB has been contacted by many of his followers who have interest in finding out more about batik. Artists have bought the 2024 Batik Guild Calendar and many of them have joined the Batik Guild.

To the Artists featured on the artist community page of our website, www.batik.international.com:

We love that you are here exhibiting your art, sharing your individual stories and connecting with other artists and collectors in the Batik community and around the world.

The administrative costs associated to the website, to date, have been paid for by a small group of donors who are dedicated to the art of Batik, and for which we are truly thankful and appreciative.

As of July 1, 2024, to cover some of the administration costs associated with maintaining the website we humbly request the Artists in our community to pitch in. This would be in the form of a small annual subscription of $25.00 USD. The subscription will keep your story and your art featured on the website as well as maintaining your status as a participant in the International Year of Batik. In doing so you will also aid in our efforts to continue raise awareness, inspire others and renew interest in the artistry of wax and dye.

Your participation, contribution and commitment to the International Year of Batik is appreciated.

If you are a Batik artist interested in being included on our community page and exhibiting your work in our gallery, please email info@batikinternational.com for more information.

We are still actively searching for sponsorship, donations and contributions for the Year of Batik project. We have continual operating costs and all offers of support are welcome and will be considered. Go to the Year of Batik website donations and contributions page if you can help https://batikinterationnal.com/donate/ .  Many thanks for your interest and support.
